D'Scent Essentials
Our parents were big entrepreneurs. They had side hustles before it was called a“side hustle.” They were part of the gig economy before that became a popular term. In the spirit of their business savvy and entrepreneurship, we created D’Scent Essentials.
D’Scent Essentials is the brainchild of two sisters, Shana E. Higgins and Tanya Y. Barnes-Jones. Although Tanya was already a businesswoman, she brought in her sister to create a business that promotes organic and natural beauty products that benefit women, men, and children of all ages. Although it hasn’t been easy, the business continues to grow.
Our first product was Tina’s Treat Soap, in honor of our mother, who passed away in 2019. Since then, we have added numerous soaps, body butters, lotions, and lip glosses. We are constantly looking to create beauty products that people will enjoy.
Here’s to our parents, who instilled that business sense and spirit of entrepreneurship in us!
